Forged fittings: your best choice for a better performance of the system

Forged fittings are an essential component in different industrial and engineering applications. They are manufactured from a drop forged block and, by processing with CNC machinery, they acquired the desired shape and connection (elbow, tee, union or bushing etc).

MAIN FEATURES AND ADVANTAGES

  • Higher mechanical resistance. They withstand extreme pressure and temperatures compared to other types of fittings.
  • Durability: manufactured to stand the test of time and withstand corrosion and wear.
  • Flexibility and versatility: used in different kinds of fields (water, gas, oil and other substances transfer), naval, petrochemical, oil&gas industry, high pressure applications and extreme environments.
  • Safety: thanks to their resistance they create a safer working environment, reducing leaks and breakage.
  • System Efficiency and consequent reduction of downtime, sudden interruptions and maintenance costs; so, they are the best choice in the long term.
  • Material used: the most frequent are carbon steel for not exacting industrial plants; stainless steel in those plants that require a high resistance to corrosion and heat especially in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industry. Alternatively, titanium in this second case can be used in the aviation industry beside chemical contexts.
  • Kind of connection: threaded (male and female) or weld connection.

The choice depends on the characteristics of the plant and the application for which they have to be used.
