Nickel Alloy 825 tubes
ALLOY 825 OR INCOLOY 825
alloy of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, iron, copper and titanium
This alloy is used in highly corrosive contexts thanks to its excellent corrosion resistence.
In particular, nickel makes it resistant to chloride corrosion; then, molybdenum, copper and especially the big quantity of iron strenghten this feature. In the end, titanium stabilizes the alloy in case of welding. It resists very well to corrosion caused by sulphuric, phosphoric, nitric acids and to basic compounds such as sodium and hydrochloric acid solutions etc.
It withstands cryogenic and not extremely high temperatures (not higher than 500°C) and compared to 625 alloy, it can be strenghtened through cold processes.
Thanks to its characteristics, it can be used for oilgas applications such as heat exchangers, oil rigs pipes and in oil refineries.
MOST COMMON NICKEL ALLOYS:
NICKEL ALLOY 625 OR INCONEL 625
alloy or nickel-chromium and molybdenum superalloy
