supply of AISI 316/316L stainless steel products
Our main supplied material is stainless steel AISI 316/316L; nevertheless, we can also supply other materials, on request (such as Hastelloy C276, Inconel 625, Monel 400, 6MO, Duplex (F51 F55, Incoloy, etc.).
General characteristics of the tubes supplied
Tecra is specialized in the trade of tubes for instrumentation and piping.
Depending on the circumstances, tubes can be supplied in rods of 5/7 meters commercial length and/or of 6 meters fixed length or, in alternative, also in coils with standard length of 100/110 m and linger length (on request).
On customers demand, Tecra also provides a service of cutting tubes to measure so that they will be easier to be moved.
In the packaging phase, rods are jointed together to create a bundle of different dimensions depending on the quantity ordered or, in alternative, they are put within a fumigated wooden case.
In case of tubes in coils, they are packaged on pallets, wrapped in cellophane not giving them the possibility to move and strapped.
On request, we also provide plastic free packaging in a green and environmental sustainability perspective.
For what concerns the tubes in rods, the raw material origin is Italian or Euroepan, but also non-EU, only on request.
On the other hand, with reference to tubes in coils, the origin of seamless tubes is non-EU, while that of welded ones is Italian or European.
When designing an industrial plant, designers pay particular attention to the choice of tubes that will be used to create the plant itself. The choice will be done according to the legislation and guidelines in force in the area and/or country where the plant will be build and considering many variables on the basis of the purpose for which the plant must be realized.
The main legislation to follow are ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and ANSI (American National Standards Institute).
Furthermore, in order to choose the most adequate tube, the following aspects must to be considered: pressure, temperature and kind of substance that flows inside. Once considering these factors, it is important to properly identify the most suitable material, tube thickness and the dimensions of both the internal and external diameter.
In the end, to be sure that the tube will withstand the pressure and the temperature avoiding system failure with damaging consequences to the system itself and even to workers health, it is fundamental to select the correct thickness.
