Despite the advent and the research of new renewable solutions, the Oil&Gas sector continues and will continue to play a central role in the world of energy.

The OIL&GAS industry consists of 3 kinds of energy source: oil, gas and electricity and it deals with several activities starting from the discovery and research (upstream level), to transport and transformation (midstream level) up to hydrocarbon refining (downstream level).

When it comes to Oil & Gas applications, it is common practice to divide them into two main categories: onshore (land-based) and offshore (water-based). Offshore operations typically refer to extraction platforms or production sites installed in open seas and oceans, far from the coastline.

In both cases, the distribution of hydrocarbons and refined products depends on the construction of connection lines equipped with various components such as pipes, valves, fittings, flanges, cylinders, manifolds, and clamps. These components must meet strict requirements and are often subject to rigorous inspections, as they operate in environments exposed to high pressure, corrosion, and extreme temperatures (both high and low). For these reasons, it is mandatory to use materials that withstand acid substances, salt ocean water and thermal and pressure shocks.
