Conduit tubes (galvanized steel)
Among Tecra tubes range, you can also find conduit tubes that are usually intended for ducting of cables, for safety electrical systems and for explosion-proof plant (AD-PE).
They are galvanized steel tubes used in oilgas, petrochemical, offshore and energy field. The presence of the zinc layer makes tubes resistant to corrosion.
The process is called galvanizing or zinc electroplating by which the zinc coating is obtained through immersion in an electrolyte solution containing zinc salts. Through immersion zinc deposits better on the metal.
Internal parts are smooth and without any tartness to let cables flow easily without the risk of damages.
There are many types of conduit tubes. The following are those Tecra offers:
Conduit tubes according to UNI7683 and UNI7684 European norm
They are rigid and welded galvanized carbon steel tubes with tapered gas thread ends according to the European norm UNI7683 and UNI7684.
They are intended for cables ducting and for electrical systems or for safety explosion-proof electrical systems.
They have got tapered gas threaded ends according to UNI6125 norm or they have got NPT threading according to the American standard ANSI/ASME B1.20.
A galvanized coupling is screwed on one end according to UNI7684 norm, while the other end is covered by a plastic cap.
The following dimensions are available: ½”, ¾”, 1”, 1. ¼”, 1.1/2”, 2”, 2.1/2”, 3”, 3.1/2”, 4”, 5”, 6”.
Conduit tubes - ANSI C80.1
Rigid tubes for cables ducting and for UL electrical systems such as, for example, illumination of dangerous environments or chemical, pharmaceutical, flammable, explosive contexts and installation of protective cables.
They guarantee resistance, protection, safety and ductility during wiring work.
The following dimensions are available: 3/8″, 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″, 1.1/4″, 1.1/2″, 2″, 2.1/2″, 3″, 3.1/2″, 4″, 5″, 6″
Ends are threaded with couplings as per ANSI B1.20.1 NPT.
Conduit tubes according to EN10225 SI/Sm/Sp
They are watertight conduit tubes supplied together with the screw and the coupling.
The following dimensions are available: 3/8”, 1/2”, 3/4”, 1”, 1.1/4”, 1.1/2”, 2”, 2.1/2”, 3, 4, 5, 6.
